Just another home page....
My
World
Welcome to the home page of Chris Nelson at
www.chris-nelson.com.
I am 34 years old, a proud father (of four!), and an honored husband of
Montine. We live in McLoud, Oklahoma (just outside of Shawnee).
I am the proud employee of Turner Brothers, LLC. in Oklahoma City, OK as the System Administrator. I have been in IT for 18+ years.
"What is up with the XXX Chris?"you may ask yourself. My nickname has been Triple X since I was younger (way before that VIn Diesel guy came along). Why? I dunno...guess because I was wild, crazy, and uninhibited growing up.
I love technology in all forms, sports, World of Warcraft (I play Horde on the Archimonde server), anything outdoors (hunting, fishing, boating, camping), Blu-Ray DVDs, and politics.
I coach all aspects of little league sports for my children (ok, ok...for me too), I just finished coaching Kalix's 10U championship baseball team this year.
World
of Warcraft
One of my
passions is online gaming (geeky huh?). I have been playing the
expansive online realm of World of Warcraft since it came out in Open
Beta back in what? 2004? Below in order are the servers I have played
on. The last one is my current (and final) server.
- Mal'Ganis
- Dark Iron
- Archimonde
I always play on PvP
realms, otherwise I would get bored to death. I am currently (and have
been pretty much my entire MMORPG career) a GM (Guild Master) over a
hundred or so people. My guild leading days stem back from when I
played Asheron's Call (for 5 years), and was Monarch of the largest
guild (at that time) on the server Solclaim...we had over 5,000
members. Talk about a full time job!
Recently, my family has joined me in playing World of
Warcraft, and I couldnt have been any happier. My wife (Montine) has
become quite the addict. She has even dragged some of her friends into
the game.
Over the years, we have met many people playing MMORPGs, and have
sustained real life friendships with quite a few. The Internet is an
intriguing piece of technology (THANKS AL GORE!!).
My
Mother
I recently lost my Mother in August of 2008.
I am far too young to have to have endured such a loss. My Mom (Erlene
Nelson) was an idol. She was the most down to earth, righteous, and
loving person you could ever meet. She never drank, did drugs, cuss,
or lie. She was as close to an earthly angel that one could be.
I miss you
dearly Mom, may you rest in peace.
And if I go while you're still here...
Know that I still live on.
Vibrating to a different measure
behind a thin veil you cannot see through.
You will not see me,
so you must have faith.
I wait the time when we can soar together again,
both aware of each other.
Until then, live your life to the fullest.
And when you need
me,
just whisper my name in your heart....I will be there.
